Matt Sesow - “Bear Skin” Painting

Matt Sesow (b. 1966) was raised in Nebraska and lost his left hand in an accident as a young boy. While pursing a career as a software tester at IMB, he taught himself painting as a way of healing his childhood trauma, and eventually made art his full-time vocation. He lives and works in Washington, DC, with his wife, artist Dana Ellyn.
