Matt Sesow & Dana Ellyn- “Defiled” Bull Painting

Matt Sesow (b. 1966) was raised in Nebraska and lost his left hand in an accident as a young boy. While pursing a career as a software tester at IMB, he taught himself painting as a way of healing his childhood trauma, and eventually made art his full-time vocation. Dana Ellyn holds a BA from George Washington University, and also left a corporate career to pursue painting full-time. Together, Matt and Dana live and work in a shared studio space in Washington, DC. They call their collaborative works “defiled.”
